What I've been doing is turning the volume down on my guitar and using a thinner pick for a cleaner sound and turning up the volume and using a heavy pick for a dirty sound.ĭo you use the bright switch for a clean sound? I haven't been using the bright switch. The sound man thinks it's too loud so I set it up so that the speaker is faced across the stage instead of out toward the audience. I usually use the high gain channel and keep the master volume between 9&10 O'clock. I'm using a Bassbreaker 15 head with a Celestion 15w alnico blue speaker in a closed back cabinet. ![]() Some of the songs sound best with a clean sound and some can be played with a little distortion. Here's my situation: I'm using it at a church, we typically play about 5 songs per gig. What settings do you guys use for a clean sound and for a slightly distorted sound? Or do you just keep it on one setting for the entire gig?
